Korda Compac Luggage: Durable, water-resistant carp fishing storage

Korda Compac is an extensive range of luggage to store and transport all of the equipment that you take with you when you are carp fishing, and has been designed to be modular so that it all fits together seamlessly.

It is packed full of angling focussed features that have been specifically designed to make everything inside the bags as accessible as possible when you need it, and to allow you to properly organise all of your fishing gear.

The original olive green Compac luggage has become a firm favourite with anglers since its launch and has withstood the test of time, with new additions to the range proving to be very successful.

Anglers access and organise their kit in very different ways to how luggage such as rucksacks and carryalls are often used.

We tend to carry some items that will be unpacked and used every single time we go fishing, whilst other bits of tackle could go weeks or even months inbetween being used, but still needs to be there and readily available when we do need it.

All of the Korda Compac luggage has been designed specifically for storing and transporting all of the stuff that we take fishing with us – not just tackle itself, but all the other essentials such as cooking gear, spare clothing, and even electronic devices.  

We have also made it very easy to organise everything by making the luggage modular, so that you arrange smaller items into specific pouches and bags, which then have a purpose designed place where they go in your larger luggage items – this makes everything easy to find and access, whether it be your Tackle Box, a Compac Lead Pouch, or a Compac Pocket containing your bobbins.

Ease of access is improved even more by the fact that the external pockets on these larger luggage items like rucksacks and carryalls are the perfect size for storing our range of zipped Compac EVA pouches.

High quality, durable, water resistant, extremely lightweight, and waterproof materials

The entire Compac luggage range has been designed specifically to withstand regular outdoor use, and all that entails.

Korda have sourced military grade fabrics – like those that the army use for its own luggage – to ensure that any item of luggage that you purchase will live up to expectations when you take it out on the bank with you.

The tough, durable olive green material that is used for the exterior of most of our luggage – with the exceptions of specialised items that require something different either due to their use or what you will be putting inside, such as our Compac Cooler bags and Compac EVA pouches which use a waterproof material with welded seams – is water resistant, so if you do get caught out in a shower, such as when setting up or packing away, the contents won’t instantly get soaked. Plus it can withstand everything that you typically put it through on the bank, is very hard-wearing, and will last you for years.

For most luggage items in the Compac range, and where appropriate, this material is combined with a waterproof base material, so that when your bags are on the ground they won’t soak up water, even if you aren’t using a groundsheet.

A special wipe-clean lining completes these luggage items, meaning that if you do get mud inside, or even spill some bait, it is very easy to clean it.

Padding is also used where necessary in order to protect the contents, including special dividers on our Compac Rod Holdalls range, and thick padding inside our Compac Camera Bags to give your expensive kit the protection that it needs whilst in transit.

Fittings used on the Korda Compac tackle storage range  

There is little point in using high grade materials without using zips and other fittings that match that and are designed to last for just as long.

High quality zips have been used throughout the Compac luggage range, and whilst those aren’t waterproof, they come with a flap inside to help keep out any water, and in many cases are two way for even easier access.

Padded shoulder straps are also included wherever appropriate, and not only do these make it comfortable to carry the luggage if you do choose to do it that way, but they are also removeable so they don’t get in the way and get caught up on things, if you are simply unloading the bag from your vehicle onto a barrow.

All of the larger Compac luggage items also have reinforced straps that are strategically places to make lifting it as easy as possible – such as on or off of your Carp Porter.

As well as plenty of external pockets, many of the luggage items also have interior zipped mesh pockets that are great for storing essentials such as your fishing club membership cards, so that you know you always have them with you and have instant access if a bailiff asks to see it.

What does the Compac luggage range include?

The luggage range is extensive and has something for everyone, whatever type of carp fishing you do, and whether you are going for just a few hours stalking, or a week long session in France.

The Rod Holdalls have been designed to fit any combination of our Kaizen rods – in 12ft, 12ft, or 13ft – and come in three or five rod versions, with the option to attach additional sleeves to them, such as for spod and marker rods.

The range of Rucksacks and Carryalls covers everything from travelling light for a day or overnight session, right the way up to taking everything you might need on a longer trip, and everything inbetween, and has various different options, included a Framed Carryall.

There are also Compac cool bags that cover everything from keeping food fresh for as long as possible through to boilie storage, and with a wide range of different sizes.

For less traditional, but still incredibly useful and essential bags, we have our ‘Compac Extras’ range which includes all sorts of useful storage for other items, including for cookware and tea kit, bags for spare clothes and the like, plus protection for tackle items such as spare spools for your reels, or scales.
