Korda Kontender 2026

Rather than selecting anglers at random, Kontender will now become an invitational event. That means we want to specifically identify young carp anglers who are already putting the time in, getting out on the bank regularly, catching carp and showing real commitment and love to their fishing.

Are you ready to prove yourself on the biggest stage for young carp anglers?

Hand-picked participants will get invited to compete, learn, and grow alongside some of the most respected names in UK carp fishing including; Danny Fairbrass, Darrell Peck, Carl Smith, Tom Maker and Neil Spooner.

There are some epic Kaizen prizes on the line as well as the chance to have your fishing supported by Korda, Mainline and Carp Porter.

Participants will be challenged to showcase their angling ability, talk tactics with Team Korda, and demonstrate what they know... when it really matters. But it’s not just about winning. It’s about learning, improving, and ultimately catching more carp.

Kontender is Korda's brand new initiative for 13–18 year olds who want to prove themselves in a competitive and fun environment.

Entrants should expect:

• A 30 hour Singles Match taking place on across Norton Disney Turner's Lake (13-15 Years) or Billy's Lake (16-18 Years)

• The Match will run from 10am to 4pm

• Korda mentors across both lakes including Carl Smith, Darrell Peck and Tom Maker

• Exclusive Kaizen Prizes plus WIN an exclusive 48hr trip with Tom Dove & Neil Spooner.

We want to protect the legacy of carp fishing, so we are investing in the future. Kontender is our way of giving young anglers the platform, guidance and motivation to take their fishing to the next level.

How to be considered

Send us your catch reports and angling updates so we can monitor your angling. If you are on the bank regularly, catching carp and have a good time along the way… we want to hear from you. If you are putting the time, effort and energy into your angling, we will see you.

It will consist of 1 x 30hr Match.

Please note: Participants are required to bring a minimum standard carp fishing set up (listed below) and will be required to stay overnight.

*Once applicants are selected, a £50 deposit will be required so we can guarantee your attendance. This will be refunded once the event is complete.
