The Melanoma Weekender at Baston Serpentine Lake

The weekend saw the winners (and gillies) from the @youwincompetitions Melanoma Event Competition descend onto the unfished Baston, Serpentine Lake for a weekend of fishing, food and fun!

It was an amazing weekend and an opportunity for the lucky winners to learn all aspects of carp angling from some of the best at it. Including: Darrell Peck, Neil Spooner, Tom Dove, James Armstrong, Tom Stokes and of course the Gaffer himself!

The lake hadn't been fished since its initial stocking some years back now, and with the draw done, everyone settled in their swims and fishing effectively, it didn't take long for the carp to be obliging.

Some lovely Carp were caught and a few new PB’s to boot!

The cameras were rolling throughout the course of the weekend, and we can’t wait for people to see the episode of the vlog in the coming months. So keep your eyes peeled for the release of that one!

Lastly a HUGE thanks to everyone’s kind donations and ticket purchases! We raised nearly £50,000 for @melanomafocus... a great cause and one that is very close to Danny's heart!
