Abrasion Resistance:

This is the biggie. CarpLine's makeup means that it's among the toughest lines out there.

A granite-like constitution means that it is the perfect line to reach for when weed or snags dictate that fights are likely to be edge-of-the-seat affairs.

It'll handle mussels, gravel bars, and heavy weed better than most other lines.

Korda Carp Line is a great all round line with a subtle green colour

Colour:

The development team settled upon a subtle SUB-green colour, which has been chosen to blend in seamlessly with most lake bed conditions. It's beautifully difficult to see, even in clear water!

Korda Carp Line is a very reliable line in any fishing situation with great knot strength, fantastic value for money, and a green colour which blends in

Feel:

A low stretch factor means that you can feel the lead impact the lake bed much better than stretchier monos!

This is critical if you want to know exactly what lake bed you're fishing over!

Carp Line sinks very well, is abrasion resistant, casts nicely, has a very high knot strength, and thanks to its low stretch factor makes sure it has a great feel to it

When I use nylon it is often CarpLine because it is a real all-round workhorse. Darrell Peck

When filming his series Peckys Big Carp Buzz, Darrell used CarpLine throughout the series of trips across Europe and the UK.

Its reliability meant he had one less concern and he could focus on his adventure and the tough fishing ahead of him.

Korda Carp Line is tough but is cheap, offering brilliant value for money

Darrell explained; "It doesn't sink the fastest and doesn't have as little stretch as, say, Touchdown, but it certainly has very high abrasion resistance.

The line has never let me down either, which is why I'm a little stubborn and don't want to change. In most situations, I spool up the 15lb version because I can cast it up to 100 yards.
But if I know I will be fishing at shorter distances I sometimes go for the 20lb version.

Personally, I see no reason not to go for the thickest line possible, as a strong line will provide more security when drifting a fish.

The Designer's view

"With a lot of our products especially fishing lines, we work with some of the best manufacturers in the world.

These guys are pushing the boundaries in manufacturing processes to create thinner, lighter and more technically advanced monofilaments.

But with Carpline, we took a step back. Some anglers just wanted something simple and reliable, a does what it says on the tin product, so Carp Line was born.

A no-nonsense line suitable for most types of angling with a price tag that won't break the bank!" Damian Clarke
