An in-depth look at all of our new tackle and clothing, and why you need them.
We’ve got some exciting new clothing and luggage items that are being released just in time for Christmas.
Korda has added to its clothing range, with several new items to ensure you stay warm and comfortable this winter, whether you are out on the bank or anywhere else outdoors.
There are also some new items of luggage in our stylish Dark Kamo pattern, for storing all of the essentials that you take fishing with you in addition to your tackle.
All of these items will be available to buy this weekend and should be in your local Korda stockist, and the clothing is available to buy direct from our Korda Clothing website.
Nanny Pat Hat
Our original Nanny Pat hat has been a favourite with anglers for over a decade now, and we’ve now added two more colour combinations to give you even more choice, and catering for those anglers who are looking for something a bit more subtle and without the vibrant green and black colours of the original.
This was the first beanie style hat in our range and is based on the original design that was knitted by Korda angler Jon Mann’s mum, and has kept him warm during countless winter sessions on the bank.
It is very warm and cosy, and extremely comfortable to wear, with one size fitting all, and will keep your head warm whatever the weather throws at you.
It is also very stylish, with its trademark bobble, and the original design has now been joined by versions that come in either all black, or a dark olive, for those who prefer to blend in rather than stand out.
Polar Mittens
Anglers hands tend to be exposed to the elements during the winter months far more than any other part of the body, so we’ve designed a pair of mittens that are perfect for fishing.
The Polar Mittens are not only incredibly warm with excellent insulation properties, but they are also very practical for fishing, and have been made from durable materials designed to withstand constant use on the bank.
Not only do they have excellent thermal insulation properties, but they will also allow your hands to breathe, and the luxurious teddy fleece lining envelops your hands and feels really nice to wear. If you do have to put your hands in the cold water, such as when you catch a fish, then you can quickly warm them up afterwards by putting these mittens back on.
The palm and fingertip sections are made from a highly durable blend of polyester and polyurethane, which allows for all the flexibility that you need to be able to keep them on for a lot of the tasks you perform whilst fishing – they are brilliant for keeping your hands warm when pushing your barrow around the lake.
The Polar Mittens have a retaining clip, which allows you to connect them together and makes them easier to hang up to dry should they get wet, and also keeps them together if storing them in a rucksack or carryall.
These mittens are a great option, whether you are out on the bank or just walking the dog or out with the family, and they come in a choice of dark olive or black.
Dark Kamo Insulated Hooded Jacket
The Insulated Hooded Jacket has proved really popular since it was first launched, and now, by popular demand, a Dark Kamo version of it is also available.
This is an ultra lightweight jacket that is incredibly comfortable to wear, yet at the same time provides a very high degree of insulation and warmth, thanks to the 6oz high tech insulating filling that has been chosen for its heat retention properties whilst minimising bulk.
The outer shell is made from a very lightweight water repellent material, yet at the same time it is also durable and able to withstand everything it is likely to encounter on the bank, without wearing or tearing. The soft lining feels really nice against your skin and doesn’t stick to you.
The Insulated Hooded Jacket is packed full of features which make it great for angling, or any outdoor use during colder weather, and include special cuffs that have been made from an exceptionally soft material and which fit tightly around, without feeling uncomfortable, and keep out cold drafts as well as preventing the sleeves from riding up. The back of the jacket has been extended to ensure that you stay warm even when sitting down or bending over, and that your lower back can’t become exposed to the elements. There is also a chest pocket for storing all your valuables.
The hood feels really snug and can be adjusted for the perfect fit so that it won’t blow off of your head, and will keep the cold out and the heat in. If you just need a bit of warmth on your head it can be worn looser, or done up fully when the temperature really plummets. It also features a double sided chin guard at the top of the zip, which comes up high and keeps out the cold and draughts, whilst still feeling really comfortable, even if you have a beard or stubble.
As well as the new Dark Kamo pattern, it is also available in the original Dark Olive, and comes in sizes from small to 4XL, to fit any angler.
Dark Kamo Insulated Jogger
To go with the new version of the Insulated Hooded Jacket, we’ve released a Dark Kamo version of the popular Insulated Joggers as well, which are often worn with it.
These are very different to traditional joggers, and are designed to be worn as an outer layer, but they do provide all of the comfort that you would expect from that type of trousers.
They feature the same durable, lightweight, and water repellent outer fabric as the jacket, which includes Spandex for unrestricted movement, and with our high tech 6oz insulation material which traps body heat and ensures that you stay warm, despite the garment being incredibly light to wear.
The interior nylon lining feels nice against your skin, meaning the joggers can be worn without any other trousers underneath, and has moisture wicking properties to help prevent sweating when you are moving around.
They have an elasticated waistband as well as a drawcord, to allow for a comfortable fit, and the ankle cuffs are made from a very soft material, which fits securely without feeling tight, and ensuring that they legs can’t ride up and that cold draughts are kept out. They also feature a pocket on each side for storing valuables, or just for keeping your hands warm.
The Insulated Jogger is also available in the original Dark Olive, as well as the new Dark Kamo pattern, and in sizes from small to 4XL.
Essentials Pouch
As the name suggests, this latest addition to our luggage range is designed for all the essentials that you have whilst out fishing, whilst keeping these valuable or delicate items all together in one place securely.
It is made from the same 600D heavy duty, water resistant material as the rest of the Compac luggage range, and has been designed for storing items such as your wallet, phone, cash, car keys, passport, sunglasses, or similar. As well as being very useful on the bank, so you know where everything is and it is all safely stored in one place, it is also great when you are travelling, or even just going out shopping.
It is fully lined and the zipped main compartment has enough space that it will fit larger items such as a powerbank, notepad, plus plenty of space for other things such as your wallet.
The smaller zipped compartment on the front is useful for separating things such as your car keys, or loose change, and meaning that you will always have quick access to them when needed.
An adjustable carry strap allows you to get just the right fit, and also adds security as it means the bag can’t easily be snatched, dropped, or accidentally left behind. It comes in our stylish Dark Kamo pattern and measures 24cm x 15cm x 6cm overall.
Wash Bag
If you’re going to be on the bank for a few days then you will be carrying toiletries such as a toothbrush and toothpaste, shower gel, plus any medicines or tablets that you might need whilst you are away.
This Korda Wash Bag has been designed as a convenient way of storing it all together in one place, and protecting it via the durable, water resistant, Dark Kamo material that it is made from, and is the same fabric as is used for much of our Compac luggage range.
It is lined and can be wiped clean – if anything does leak out inside – and is secured via a heavy duty zip, which gives easy access to all the contents.
As well as using it whilst fishing, it is just as useful in any other situation where you might require a wash bag, such as when travelling, and has a stylish and practical design. It measures 22cm x 10cm x 10cm, and weight just 92g when empty.
Compac Large Utility Bag
This is a larger version of our popular Utility Bag, with even more space for all your essentials such as cooking kit, and comes in our Dark Kamo pattern.
It is made from the same heavy duty, durable, and water resistant material that is used to construct our other Compac luggage, plus heavy duty zips for easy access to the main compartment, plus the two external pockets.
It is perfect for storing all your brew kit and associated items, and has been designed so that it will easily take a stove, kettle, gas, mugs, tea and coffee, plus milk. It also has space for other items associated with cooking, such as any sauces or condiments that you might want to take with you, or items such as cutlery, either in the main compartment or in one of the external pockets.
It can also be used to store essential items of tackle, such as when you are traveling light with just the bits you need, and are going off stalking or floater fishing, and the reinforced handles make it easy and comfortable to carry. It measures 32cm x 24cm x 22cm.
