Whilst a lot of the focus on modern carp rigs revolves around stiff boom type materials and presentations, braided hook links very much still have a place and can be incredibly effective.

Carp anglers have been using braided hook link materials with great success for decades, and in certain situations they will out fish anything else – such as when using solid PVA bags – and over that time the choice and quality of braid materials has improved dramatically, and certainly when compared to the black Dacron material we used back in the 1980s!

Super Natural braid is very supple

Braided hook link materials can have varying properties, but when it comes to suppleness you can't beat Korda Supernatural braid.

This finely woven braid is mega supple and feels very smooth as well, which make it the ideal choice for a solid bag hook link, and is why anglers such as Rob Burgess and Neil Spooner swear by it when solid PVA bag fishing.

Korda Supernatural braid sinks well

Super Natural has been designed to sink very well and takes on water to ensure that it is on the lake bed laying flat, and not sitting looped up close to your hookbait.

This ability to sink, coupled with its suppleness, means that whatever type of lake bed you are fishing over, you know that your hook link is going to be lying flat across the contours of the bottom, and as unobtrusive to the fish as possible, whether fishing on soft lake beds or over gravel, it will gently rest on top.

Strong and tough

Whilst it is a soft and supple braid, it is also very tough, ultra strong, and abrasion resistant, meaning that it is able to withstand coming into contact with things such as weed, lily pads, reeds and the like, and giving you the maximum chance of landing a carp, should it become snagged.

Supernatural has a whole host of different rig uses - it's ultra strong, ideal for use in weed, and sinks very well, so you can be sure that Supernatural will gently rest over the contours of the bottom

It comes in a choice of 18lb and 25lb breaking strains, to cover pretty much any situation you are likely to want to use it in, and it is relatively low diameter for its rating.

As already mentioned, solid PVA bag rigs are one of the most popular uses of Korda Supernatural, as its properties perfectly suit these short hook links which are folded up inside the PVA bag, and where you want movement in the hook link so that when a carp sucks in the contents of the bag, your hookbait and rig easily goes into its mouth as well.
