Compac Bivvy Wrap and Compac Brolly Wrap
Both the Bivvy Wrap and the Brolly Wrap make it very easy to pack away your shelter at the end of the session and store it between trips.
One of the biggest chores in carp fishing is packing away all your gear at the end of the session, and undoubtedly the worst item to put away is your bivvy or brolly, especially if it happens to be wet!
Putting your bivvy away in the traditional carry bag that it came in is rarely easy or straightforward and takes time, especially as some will barely fit back in the bag after they've been used for the first time!
Even if your bivvy or brolly system does come with a big enough bag for it, trying to get it into the bag will still often take time and leave you damp or muddy where your clothing has come into contact with the bivvy – not ideal if you've fished an overnight session and then have to pack your shelter into its traditional carry bag whilst it is wet, before you go to work!
You could of course just throw it onto your barrow loose but this increases the likelihood of it becoming damaged during transit and makes it awkward to load and unload from your vehicle as it tries to open up.
An easy alternative storage solution, which takes all of the hassle and stress out of packing up and transporting bivvies and brollies are the Korda Compac Bivvy Wrap or Compac Brolly Wrap – depending on what type of shelter you use for your fishing. This durable luggage system is ideal for overnight and mobile anglers, turning your shelter into a lightweight package that is compact and easy to transport, whether you are heading home or moving swim.
Korda Compac Wraps - quick and easy
Packing up with a bivvy or brolly wrap couldn't be easier, as you simply fold down your shelter, place it on top of the Korda water resistant wrap, and then use the elasticated fabric of the wrap to compress your bivvy or brolly, as you wrap it around it.
The whole thing is secured in place via a Velcro fastening strip which runs from top to bottom and is strong enough to stay closed and keep your shelter securely wrapped up in the most compact way possible once it is pulled tight during pack down – giving it a smaller footprint on your barrow or in your vehicle, whilst also helping to prevent it from getting damaged, or accidentally opening up.
When you want to put your bivvy or brolly up when you arrive in your swim, simply undo the Velcro and it is ready to erect.
Built to last and user friendly
Like all of the Korda Compac luggage range, both the Bivvy Wrap and Brolly Wrap are constructed from high performance fabrics and military grade components creating the ultimate lightweight durable luggage system for storing and transporting shelters.
The fabric used for both is incredibly hard wearing and has been built to last, whilst also being water resistant – so even if you are packing away a wet shelter it won’t soak up all that moisture.
The Velcro is strong and won’t come undone during transit, plus it has been designed to be able to withstand outdoor use where mud and other dirt get into it but its ability to hold the wrap in place isn’t compromised.
Keeps everything neatly together
Not only will the Compac Bivvy Wrap or Compac Brolly Wrap neatly store your shelter, but it is also used to retain essential items, carrying your pegs and storm poles as well, to aid with rapid deployment and pack down.
Both types of wrap feature four reinforced storm pole sleeves, and with the Bivvy version having retaining loops for ten bivvy pegs, whilst the Brolly Wrap can hold six. These are positioned on the inside of the wrap, meaning that storm poles and bivvy pegs can't accidentally fall out, and at the same time also can't do any damage to the fabric of your shelter, and are quickly stowed and secured quickly during pack down.
This means that when you arrive in your swim and take your wrap off of the barrow you have everything you need to quickly put your shelter up – which is very useful if it happens to be raining!
Korda Compac Bivvy Wrap and Compac Brolly Wrap - choice of two colours and sizes
Each of the two different types of Compac Wrap comes in a choice of colours – Olive Green or our signature Dark Kamo, so you can match it to the rest of your Korda luggage.
In terms of size, the Compac Brolly Wrap measures 59cm x 66cm, with an adjustable diameter of 35cm to 45cm; the Compac Bivvy Wrap dimensions 83cm x 66cm, and the closed diameter can be adjusted 65cm to 75cm, making it suitable for most bivvies.
