Polarised sunglasses
An in-depth look at the full range of Korda polarised sunglasses
The Korda range of polarised sunglasses has been designed to help you catch more fish as you will be able to spot them more easily.
But we are also very much aware that comfort, practicality, durability, and of course style, are also big factors for anglers when it comes to choosing a pair of fishing sunglasses that are just right for them.

Our range includes a wide variety of different styles, so whatever shape your face is and your preference when it comes to sunglasses – whether that be wrap-around, aviator style, or any other type – you will find something in the Korda range which not only fits perfectly and looks great on you, but will also help to put you on the fish and increase your catch rate.
For those of you who need to wear glasses or contact lenses, we even have a couple of our most popular models as a frame-only option, so you can get your own prescription lenses fitted to them – as both Danny Fairbrass and Neil Spooner do.

Polarised
A good pair of polarised sunglasses not only makes it easier to spot fish through the water, but will also reduce eye-strain if you are spending long periods of time out by a lake, as they get rid of a lot of the glare.
All of the models in the Korda range feature polarised lenses, which will allow you to see through the surface of the water and down into it, so they are great for not only spotting carp moving around, but also seeing where clear spots are – gravel bars can really stand out even at range - lowering your rigs onto spots in the margins, and similar.

How far you are able to see into the water will depend on the clarity of the lake as well as the light conditions and the angle that the sun is coming from. Not all polarised sunglasses are the same though, and in addition, they often have different coloured lenses, with certain types being best for a particular time of day or weather.
The Korda range features glasses with yellow, brown or grey lenses, and each has its advantages in certain conditions.
A yellow lens is perfect in lower light conditions, as it will actually enhance the available light and enable you to see more than you could with a different coloured lens, so is ideal around dawn and dusk, and also on cloudier days.

Brown lenses actually block out some light, and so are perfect on those really bright sunny days where harsh light makes it hard to see into the water without getting rid of some of it, which these lenses do perfectly.
If you’re looking for a real all-rounder, which will perform well in any light conditions – although maybe not to the extent of yellow or brown lenses in certain lighting – then grey lenses are the perfect choice, if you don’t want to carry more than one pair of sunglasses with you.
Secure, comfortable fit
How well the sunglasses fit is also a big factor, not only from the point of view of them feeling secure on your face whilst peering into the water, especially if doing so from up a tree – although a lanyard is best worn anyway just in case you accidentally knock them off and will save you from potentially losing them in the lake!

But also in terms of how much light is able to enter around the sides of the glasses, as too much sunlight being able to get in there will negate the advantages of the polarised lenses.
Comfort is also a big factor, as often when out fishing you will be wearing your sunglasses for many hours per day, so they need to feel good on your face – if you can find a pair that you hardly even notice that you are wearing, then you know that frame shape is just right for you.

A badly fitting pair of sunglasses is not only annoying if you have to keep adjusting them so they don’t slip off or let too much light in around the sides, but could actually end up spooking the carp if you’re constantly having to move your hands up and down to adjust them whilst watching fish at close quarters.
Fashionable and great value
Obviously when it comes to fishing sunglasses the main focus is on functionality and making sure they do the job they are intended for as well as possible, but that doesn’t mean that they can’t also look great on you at the same time.
All of our frame designs are stylish as well as practical, and include some classic shapes that have been around for years and have stood the test of time, plus there are some that have had a very modern twist put on them, and when not wearing them to spot fish, wouldn’t look out of place being worn anywhere.

For those who are on a tighter budget – or who are prone to losing or sitting on their glasses! - we’ve also produced a couple of models which still perform very well, but feature slightly thinner lenses and means that they are available at a lower price level.
All of the frames are constructed from materials that have been designed to withstand constant outdoor use, and like the lenses, are scratch-resistant. Plus each pair of Korda sunglasses comes supplied with a protective case - a hard case or a micro fibre cloth drawstring bag – along with a cleaning cloth (the cloth bag can also be used for cleaning the lenses).

THE KORDA POLARISED SUNGLASSES RANGE:
Korda Classics Sunglasses
The Korda Classics were one of the first models of polarised sunglasses that we ever brought out, and as the name suggests this is a traditional design of a classic that has stood the test of time.

It is still a design that would be considered fashionable though and will comfortably fit most face shapes, thanks to the large lenses and functional frames. These won’t look out of place when worm whilst walking down the high street, sat in a beer garden, or relaxing on the beach. And you’ll be getting great performance whilst protecting your eyes, thanks to the polarised lenses.
The Classics come in a choice of three different versions: matt tortoiseshell frame with brown lenses; matt black frames with grey lenses; and demi-tortoiseshell frames with yellow lenses. Each pair is supplied with a zipped hard case to protect them, and with a special cleaning cloth that won’t damage the polarised lenses.. A frame-only version is available for those of you who wear glasses, so you can have your own prescription lenses put in them.

Korda Classics Standard Sunglasses
The original Classics was such a popular design that we wanted to make them even more easily available to anybody, even those on more of a budget, resulting in the Korda Classics Standard.

They still feature the same shape of stylish tortoiseshell frame, synonymous with the Classics, and which provides a great fit, whilst also looking the part whether you are on the bank trying to spot carp, or are wearing them away from fishing, such as when you’re out walking the dog or on holiday with the family!
The main difference is that the lenses are slightly thinner than those found on the Classics, but they are still polarised and come in a brown colour, making them suitable for even the brightest days. They come supplied in a cloth drawstring bag, which also doubles up as a lens cloth.

Korda Shoreditch Sunglasses
Shoreditch is the area of East London which is the city’s quintessentially trendy district, and the style of these polarised sunglasses reflects that, hence the name.
Whilst the stylish tortoiseshell design frames of these Shoreditch glasses mean that you wouldn’t look out of place in a fashionable bar or whilst on holiday, they are also a highly functional pair of fishing sunglasses that will help you to catch more carp, thanks to the high quality polarised lenses. They come with brown lenses, which are great for most light conditions, and which make them a real all-rounder.

The large lenses and way that they fit your face, make them great for spotting fish whilst also being very comfortable to wear – to the extent that you’ll forget that you’re even wearing them after a while.
Supplied in a zipped hard case to protect them, and with a special cleaning cloth that won’t damage the polarised lenses. For those of you who wear glasses, a frame-only option is available so that you can have your own prescription lenses fitted.

Korda The Ronnie Sunglasses
The Ronnie model of Korda polarised sunglasses is another example of how we’ve managed to combine a stylish look with a design that is incredibly practical for fishing.
The style of The Ronnie frames wouldn’t look out of place in a high end fashion outlet and they’re very different to traditional fishing sunglasses, to the extent that they can be worn anywhere, not just on the bank.

The arms are constructed from wood, which not only gives them a premium look and feel, but also makes them strong and great for sustainability. The frames fit well and are comfortable to wear, with rubberised nose pads to ensure they comfortably sit on the bridge of your nose and won’t slip when you move your head around – such as when looking down into the water.

The biggest difference though between these and other fishing sunglasses it that they only have a partial frame, with the bottom half missing, and this design maximises your vision when looking downwards, as you would be when looking for carp in the water.
The Ronnie sunglasses come in a choice of a matt tortoiseshell frame with brown polarised lenses, which is a great all-rounder; or matt black with polarised grey lenses, which is perfect in brighter conditions. They come supplied in a microfibre cloth case, which also doubles up as a cleaning cloth.

Korda Wraps Standard Sunglasses
The Korda Wraps Standard polarised sunglasses are brilliant for any outdoor sports, and not just fishing, plus can be worn when you’re away from the bank, such as when driving or on holiday.
Wrap style sunglasses are designed in such a way that, as the name suggests, they wrap around your face and minimise the light that can leak in through the sides and back of the lenses. That enhances visibility when looking into water, as well as keeping out glare even on the brightest days.

The frames are designed to hug around the sides of your head and ensure they won’t fall off when engaging in more vigorous activities such as climbing trees when looking for carp, or even out jogging when you aren’t fishing, whilst still feeling comfortable to wear, to the extent that you won’t even notice that have them on.
Not only do they look the part and offer great performance with a choice of gloss black frames and brown polarised lenses - ideal for brighter conditions; or gloss olive frames with yellow lenses – perfect for low light; but they also offer great value-for-money. They come in a cloth drawstring bag which doubles up as a lens cloth.

Korda Wraps MK2 Sunglasses
The Korda Wraps MK2 polarised sunglasses have all the attributes that made the original Wraps so popular, but with a few enhancements to make them even better.
They’re still a great choice for any outdoor activities, and when you aren’t fishing they’re perfect for walking the dog, going for a run, or any situation where you’d want to be wearing sunglasses.
These wrap-around style polarised sunglasses, not only cut out glare through the lenses and allow you to see further into the water than you could with your naked eye, but they also stop light from leaking in around the side of the frame.

The Korda Wraps MK2 will securely hug your head, ensuring that they stay in place as you move around, but still feel very comfortable to wear, especially as this latest version features rubberised nose pads for a perfect fit.
Available in gloss black frames with polarised brown lenses, for brighter conditions; or gloss green frames with polarised yellow lenses, which are great in lower light conditions, They come in a cloth drawstring bag, which doubles up as a cleaning cloth.
Korda Aviator
Based on the iconic original military design of sunglasses that has long been favoured by fighter pilots prior to become a fashion item for civilians.
The Korda Aviator polarised sunglasses have a classic teardrop shape with large lenses and a fairly thin, yet still strong, frame, which is very lightweight.

The large polarised lenses give good coverage for your eyes and are great at cutting out glare, allowing you to easily see through the surface of the water and down into it, plus enhancing colour and making fish stand out more, thus making them easier to spot.
Not only are they a very practical design, but they are also fashionable and you see plenty of people wearing this style when you are away from the lake as well.

There is a choice of tortoiseshell frames with brown lenses, or a matt black frame with grey lenses. They come in a durable protective case, complete with a high quality lens cleaning cloth.
