Jamie Clossick is the presenter and co-founder of the UK's first-ever carp fishing podcast, The Carp Cast. He has also been lucky enough to have caught some of the most acclaimed and exclusive carp in the country.
Jamie's serious carp fishing began on Bedfordshire’s Elstow Pit 2. Despite its formidable reputation, he went on to catch two of its most sought-after residents, The Mother and The Twin.
Following this outstanding result, he turned his attention to a sparsely stocked 90-acre lake in Shropshire, known as The Colemere. On the hunt for a potential recorded-breaking carp, Jamie went on to hook most of the stock. Most notably, its largest and most elusive fish, The Banana Common.
His other angling accomplishments include landing Mr Angry from the Manchester Park Lake and Single Scale from the Car Park Lake. At an astonishing weight of over 58lbs, he also caught The Fat Lady from St Ives Lagoon. Lastly, Jamie also held two of the Tatton Park commons.
Away from angling, he has worked as a professional musician, playing in clubs across Europe as a DJ. Furthermore, he’s competed in high-level poker tournaments, where his biggest live score was £25,000. He also runs fishing trips on Lake Bled in Slovenia, plus he also helped start the Northern Angling Show.
