Fishery owner and dedicated big carp angler, Jerry Hammond is a man with a boundless life-long passion for carp fishing.

His serious carp angling life began on Hainault Park Lake back in the late ’70s. Since then, he has gone on to successfully tackle some of the country's hardest venues including, Sutton at Hone, Tolpits, Yateley Car Park and Vinnetrow, where he landed the stunning Half-Lin at 54lb 14oz.

Jerry also runs the Carthagena Fishery situated in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire. These gravel pits are some of the oldest in the county, and they contain carp to over 50lbs.

Away from his angling life, Jerry served seven years in the Army’s Queen's Regiment. Along with this, he spent many years as a film and television extra appearing in blockbuster movies and numerous TV shows such as Saving Private Ryan, Band of Brothers and Midsomer Murders.
