David Seaman is a former professional goalkeeper who enjoyed a long and successful playing career spanning over 20 years. He has also been an avid angler from an early age and has fished for many different species during his life, including carp over thirty-five pounds.

David enjoyed most of his club success at Arsenal, where he won a total of 11 domestic honours, including 3 league titles. He has also earned 75 England caps, and in 1997, he was awarded an MBE for his services to the sport.

Since retiring from professional football in 2004, David has regularly used his footballing profile to help various charitable causes including Sport Relief and Target Sports Star’s Fishing Championships. Recently, he’s focused most of his angling on the River Thames and the River Kennet, where he’s netted carp and barbel well into double figures.

In this episode of the podcast, David shares a great deal of angling experience and memorable fishing anecdotes, while also recalling some of the finest moments of his footballing career.
