Born in the summer of 1987, Scott grew up with his older brother and was soon introduced into angling by his dad. Living just a few miles from the iconic Yateley complex, it was inevitable carp fishing would be a large part of his life. Through his teens and into his twenties, football dominated the weekends, but carp fishing was always on the radar, and once football was put on hold, carp fishing really took over.
Scott's style has always been tailored to targeting specific fish, often from tricky low stock pits in the Colne Valley and Berkshire area.
With three young boys to support and a wife, who he's been with since he was 16, Scott's fishing is often on the back burner, as he prides his time with his family. Scott's time is often limited to short night sessions, usually around work in the week and the odd Friday night when it's 'going off'.
Because of his limited time, Scott's adopted a unique approach, tailored to get rods out with minimal disturbance and get the most from his time on the bank. Pre-baiting plays a big part of his approach, as he looks to gain carp's confidence in areas, so when he drops into fish, the carp are already there, looking for food.
Light leads, slack braided lines and traveling light are all aspects of Scott's unique approach.
