A Hemel Hempstead based Firefighter that has been an angler since the day he could walk, Cav has been lucky enough to catch a genuine 40lb British leather (Toadless), 40lb common and 40lb mirrors completing the 40lb+set.
Cav won the UK Carp Angling Championships fishing alongside his good friend Rob Burgess, now Korda Koach. Marc is an incredibly versatile angler and in recent years, he has converted his match angling into targeting bigger carp on lower stocked pits.
He has fished big fish waters such as Grenville, but now finds himself fishing quiet, off the radar syndicates and estate lakes. Cav is an incredibly gifted angler, with an array of tactics at his disposal. He is a talented floater angler, but equally effective fishing rods at range or under the tip.
He is a regular tutor at Korda Carp Academy's, where he has a passion for helping the youngsters of the sport. In 2020, he helped coach Dan Bailey to win the BYCAC, a very proud moment for Marc.
Cav is a top bloke and a role model for all men. With a demanding job, Cav finds peace in his angling, and loves it still to this day as he always did.
