Joe Stephens is an industrial welder, but has been part of the Korda team for over 10 years. Growing up in Essex, carp fishing has been a big part of Joe's life from an early age.
Into his late teens and early twenties, carp fishing dominated his life, where Joe adopted a relentless approach to target some of the trickiest and most sought after carp around. His time was spent around the country, from Essex, Suffolk, Cambridge and Bedford, where he began ticking off some special, off the radar carp in excess of 40lb.
Joe's perhaps most notable moment, was foul hooking the legendary 'Mother' from Elstow Pit 2, one of the most sought-after and challenging carp to catch. A defining moment in his angling career, that to this day, still haunts him.
Joe has a dedicated mindset and a never give up attitude. No challenge is too big or target to unachievable. He is not afraid of failure, and it's this relentless mindset that drives him to continued success in all walks of his life.
He is a keen property developer and recently married his long term-partner. Joe has a busy life away from angling but the buzz is still as strong now as it ever was.
