Based in the Nottingham area, James spent the early part of his fishing career cutting his teeth on his local lakes. After learning his trade for a few years, he then started to travel further afield and since then has spent time on venues in the Nene Valley, Cambridge, and Peterborough. Usually an angler that tries to target specific fish, not just in terms of size but more importantly looks and merit, James has enjoyed success wherever he has angled and boasts an impressive portfolio of big carp!
James works full time and is predominantly a weekend angler, often using his annual leave to fish longer sessions at peak times throughout the season but in recent times, following the birth of his daughter, Evie, James' time, like many of us, is been squeezed in around family commitments.
James is a tidy angler, with preparation and finesse at the forefront of his approach. James keeps his rigs and baiting simple, favouring conventional spinners with Kranks and stiff Booms, over beds of boilie.
A popular figure at carp shows and the Carp Academy, James has a passion for helping others. Always with a smile on his face, James' is an all round nice guy and one of the most switched on anglers within the Mindset team.
