Damian Clarke

As Operations Director of Korda, Damian’s role is quite varied, with Danny working away from the office or simply chasing carp around the country, it's left to Damian to make sure the company runs smoothly and efficiently. He’s passionate about design and works very closely with Tom Dove and Thomas Pashley in product development, to ensure new products and ideas are constantly evolving. Working alongside the product development team of both Korda and Guru, Damian is perfectly placed to offer a wealth of experience in fishing and design. When it comes to fishing, he loves to fish the quiet Colne Valley pits that offer peace and tranquility, as well as old and scaley carp! These last few years have seen him take a conscious decision to step back from the publicity that surrounds the company. However, he has still made a few headlines with his trips into Europe following his desire to catch some of the biggest carp in the world.

Check out Damian’s galley and you’ll see the Saussaie Common at 88lb, The Graviers Scarred Mirror caught in November at 93lbs 8oz and most recently, he became the first UK angler to secure his third carp over eighty pounds, from three different venues, in the form of Eric's Common from Rainbow Lake in Bordeaux at 85lbs 8oz (he then re-captured the same fish a few days later at 85lb!).
