05: KAIZEN GREEN RODS OVERVIEW

Following on from our initial and highly successful foray into the carp fishing rod market, it made sense to add a second range and utilise all that we had learnt along the way, and this led to the release of the Kaizen Green.

The Kaizen Green rod range has grown in size since its initial launch, and now includes pretty much any type of carp fishing rod that you could think of needing, including shorter models than those traditionally used, as well as specialist tools designed for a specific job.

A comprehensive range covering any fishing situation

That makes this a very comprehensive range of rods, with four standard length rods of 12ft or 13ft which come in various test curves to cover all sorts of different fishing situation; a 12ft 6in. rod to bridge the gap for those who want something longer but can’t get on with a 13-footer; plus three different test curves of 10ft model that are aimed at anglers fishing shorter ranges or using a boat – or six models if you count the fact that three of them have special rings designed for use with braided main line; and there are also three different lengths of spod rod, so you can match it to your set of fishing rods; and even a model designed specifically for floater fishing.

Platinum performance without the price tag

Danny Fairbrass’ whole vision with the Kaizen Green range was to make the sort of performance that we achieved from our flagship Kaizen Platinum range available to the masses, and at a very affordable price that the average guy on the bank could afford.

It was important to us that the Green range included as much of the technology as possible that we use in our flagship range to achieve the perfect combination of rods that can be cast a long way accurately whilst at the same time offering an action that is still enjoyable to play fish on.

Accessible to any angler, even those on a budget

We wanted to produce rods that were accessible to anybody and that the average guy on the bank could just pick up and immediately benefit from and actually properly utilise, in terms of performance such as casting distance, and to do so at a price that shocked anglers when they saw what they were getting for their money.

To find out more about why these rods perform so well, have a read of the Kaizen Green performance explained.

After extensive testing we are convinced that we have got things just right, to the extent that some of our team anglers now use the Kaizen Green in preference to the more expensive Platinum models, even if it is just for their spod and marker rods, such is the performance level we have managed to deliver.

Custom built looks in an affordable rod

The Kaizen Green range also looks the part as well, and has a  minimalist, custom build look to it, as well as utilising fittings throughout that not only match that look but also serve a functional purpose, such as the Sea-Guide rings that combine functionality with durability. Find out more about the guides that we chose and why, by reading Guide rings on Kaizen Green rods.

Of course, the best way to make a decision about the purchase of any rod is to actually handle one, and you can do this at your local Korda stockist, the location of which can be found in our store locator.
